Fire Safety and Care Guide
At The Poured Collection, your safety is our top priority. By purchasing and using our candles and wax melts, the buyer assumes all responsibility for fire safety, product supervision, and proper handling. The Poured Collection is not legally liable for any personal injury, property damage, or loss resulting from the use or misuse of our products. Please read and follow these safety guidelines carefully before enjoying your home fragrance items.
CANDLE SAFETY & CARE
• Always burn your candle within sight. Never leave a burning candle completely unattended.
• Keep lit candles away from drafts, ceiling fans, air currents, and all flammable objects.
• Keep candles strictly out of reach of children and pets.
• Trim the cotton wick to 1/4 inch before every single light to prevent smoking and high flames.
• Place your candle on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface.
• Do not burn a candle for more than 4 hours at a time to prevent the glass jar from overheating.
• Discontinue use entirely when only 1/2 inch of wax remains at the bottom of the jar.
WAX MELT SAFETY & CARE
• Use our wax melts only in UL-certified electric warmers or approved traditional tea-light warmers.
• Do not add water, carrier oils, or extra fragrance liquids to your melting dish.
• Never leave an active wax warmer completely unattended while in use.
• Do not melt wax on a stovetop, in an oven, or on any non-approved household appliances.
• Keep warmers on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface away from edges, children, and pets.
• Never pour melted wax down your sink or drain; absorb old wax with cotton balls to discard.
PRODUCT EXPECTATIONS & VARIATIONS
Our items are individually handcrafted in small batches using a premium blend of soy and paraffin wax. Because of this clean blend, minor variations in color intensity, surface smoothness, and slight "frosting" textures are natural characteristics of the wax and do not impact the fragrance throw or burning performance of your product.
